Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona International Speedway has a new “dance partner” when it comes to the proposed mixed-use project on the northside of International Speedway Boulevard.
International Speedway Corporation is joining with the Jacoby Group based in Atlanta.
A statement from ISC officials say ISC and Jacoby will “test the market, gauge interest from possible tenants, and test a few branding concepts. While the project is still in the planning stage and is subject to a number of approvals, interest from prospective tenants has been strong.”
Speedway officials say the “goal is to create a vibrant, exciting entertainment center that will serve as a new entrance to Daytona Beach, will complement the events held at DIS and will become a year-round destination for area residents, businesses and visitors of all ages.”
The Jacoby Group statement on their website says it “focuses on real estate, energy, biotechnology, media, and education -all with an emphasis on seeking solutions for tomorrow’s generations”. The firm was involved with Marineland in Flagler County and sold it to the Georgia Aquarium in 2011.
