Sibling Foster Care Non-Profit Running Annual Toy Drive

Daytona Beach, FL - A local non-profit foster care organization is running their annual toy drive and they are looking to obtain gifts for more than 500 children in their programs.

Neighbor to Family—a Daytona Beach-based foster care organization that specializes in keeping siblings together—says they are looking for new toys for infants all the way up to teenagers in hopes of giving them a great Christmas this year.

There are plenty of ways to donate, you can purchase a toy for submission, or you can order a toy from the Amazon wishlist found on the organization's Facebook page. It contains gifts specifically picked out by children in the program—so it may be shipped directly to them. There will also be a Walmart wishlist coming soon.

"We're constantly adding to the wishlist," said Dominic Watson, Executive Director of Neighbor to Family in Daytona.

If donors wish to drop off their gifts in person they may do so, but, with COVID-19 safety in mind, they are asked to schedule an appointment to drop off their gift. Appointments may be made by calling (386) 248-0712. Once the gifts are received, Watson says they will be given to foster parents so they may give them on Christmas Day.

And, in addition to toys, Watson told News Daytona Beach that there is another way someone can give a gift this year, by becoming a foster parent.

"If they're not able to give but they're interested in becoming a foster parent they can reach out to us," said Watson.
