Goodbye Cooler Weather... For Now

Daytona Beach, FL - After enjoying weeks of cold weather, it looks like the Daytona Beach can expect some warmer temps throughout most of the week.

Forecasts from the National Weather Service in Melbourne show that Daytona can expect a high at 79 degrees on Monday (January 25th) just before temps hit 81 degrees the following day. Low temperatures are also expected to remain near the 60s until Wednesday night, when they're expected to drop back down towards the 50s. But, residents can still expect a high of 79 throughout the day.

Forecasters say the drop is thanks to a mid level trough in the Four Corners region of the southwest United States that will race eastward on Tuesday (January 26th) and reach the Ohio area by Wednesday afternoon. This will drag a cold front along the northern Gulf Coast through the middle of the week, with the boundary expected to reach the forecast area by midday on Wednesday.

With that, residents can expect temperatures to drop once more. After Wednesday's drop in temps, forecasters expect the cooling trend to continue into Thursday, which has a forecast high of 65 degrees and a low of 46 degrees. Friday will be cooler with highs forecast to hit 65.

The week is additionally expected to remain dry, despite a small chance for showers on Wednesday night.
