DeLand, FL - A 63-year-old Daytona-area man is still missing since last Sunday (January 17) but the Volusia Sheriff's Office have charged 20-year-old Michael Harris, Jr. with second-degree murder in relation to Bobby Scott's disappearance.

Deputies found Scott's car in Harris's possession in DeLand two days after his husband reported him missing. Harris told deputies that Scott had let him borrow the car last Sunday, the day Scott went missing. He told deputies that he had not spoken to Scott since he had "allegedly" borrowed the car, Investigators say that Scott's husband told them that Scott never loaned his vehicle to anyone.  Detectives learned that Scott’s cell phone was found abandoned in Deland. Scott had not contacted anyone since Sunday nor had any financial activity since going missing.

The investigation found that Scott and Harris had met on a dating app. After they met up, Scott was not seen nor  heard from again. Scott's vehicle yielded evidence that linked Harris to the missing man. Harris was arrested yesterday (January 23) and charged with second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.

Detectives now turn to locating Scott's missing body as the investigation continues.
