Bunnell, FL - A 15-year-old Flagler teen now faces six counts of child pornography charges following an investigation carried out by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office's new cyber crimes division.

Since 2018, FCSO has worked with the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, participating in multiple operations against online child predators. In late 2019, Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly identified the need for a fulltime cyber crimes division for his department.

Then, in November of that year, Sheriff Staly selected Detective Dennis Lashbrook to be a part of the new unit.

After joining the unit, Detective Lashbrook identified an address in the Daytona North community that was actively engaging in the manufacturing and distribution of child pornography. On January 23rd of this year, FCSO, with the asssistance of the Volusia Sheriff's Office, served a search warrant on the home.

After a full review of evidence, Lashbrook was able to make an arrest, which was carried out yesterday (February 25th).

The arrestee was identified by FCSO as 15-year-old teen, who now faces five counts of child pornography possession and one count of manufacturing child pornography.

FCSO reports that he was processed at Flagler County Jail following his arrest. He was then turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Daytona Beach who, according to FCSO, refused to accept him.

He is now in the custody of his guardians. No other information was released by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
