Palm Coast, FL - Flagler County deputies say three suspects have been arrested following an armed home invasion, while one suspect remains on the run.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) received a 911 call just before midnight on Saturday (December 12th) from a home on Prospect Lane. According to investigators, the call was an open line and dispatchers were able to hear an argument, but they were unable to speak with the caller. When deputies responded to the area, they found a silver Chevy leaving the area at a high rate of speed.

Deputies then followed the vehicle until it crashed near Palm Coast Parkway and Colbert Lane, where multiple male subjects ran from the crash on foot. Law enforcement soon set up a perimeter as a K9 unit was dispatched to look for the subjects. One firearm was located in the vehicle while two others were found on the captured subjects.

Following their search, three subjects were apprehended and arrested just before 4 a.m. One subject sustained a dog bite on his hand during his apprehension. A fourth subject still remains at large.

Residents of the home later told deputies that shots were fired while the subjects were in the house, and many occupants sustained minor injuries throughout the incident. Per a release from the Sheriff's Office, a large amount of cash was stolen. Investigators also found a bullet hole in the ceiling and saw obvious signs of struggle with "furniture overturned and in disarray."

“At this time, we do not believe this was a random attack and likely involves other criminal activity, like most home invasions do,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “The investigation is ongoing to determine the motive for the crime and investigators are also working to identify the fourth suspect."

Among those arrested include two juveniles, 16-year-old Korey Jones and 15-year-old Darius Watts, who will both face multiple charges, including false imprisonment, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and home invasion. Both teens were transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice. The third arrestee, 34-year-old Carlos Dupree, is facing a multitude of charges and will remain in jail without bond.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation or the whereabouts of the fourth suspect or another matter can call FCSO at 386-313-4911 and reference Case Number 2020-115128. You can also call Crimestoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477). You could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
