Adult, Teen Hospitalized After Spring Hill Shooting

Injuries not-life threatening, investigation still active, says Sheriff's Office

UPDATE:  The preliminary investigation shows the shootings occurred after unknown suspects in a passenger vehicle pulled up to a residence and began shooting at the younger victim after a brief altercation. The older victim was in the area and was also struck.

DeLand, FL - Deputies are investigating an overnight shooting that injured two individuals in DeLand.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) said deputies responded to an area off of Delaware Avenue in Spring Hill just before 8:30 Monday night (October 27th) after receiving reports of a person shot.

Deputies say two subjects, one 46-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, were taken to the hospital in a private vehicle with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
