American Airlines Extends Schedule For Flights To Philadelphia From DBIA

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - American Airlines (AA) at Daytona Beach International Airport is extending daily, nonstop service to Philadelphia, PA through the summer. Joanne Magley, Director of Marketing & Customer Experience for DBIA said this is a second nice surprise from AA with the first one happening in January when they extended non-stop service to Dallas. "Late Friday (January 29) we got word that they are also extending the Philadelphia route. That route will run through September 7th. They're going to take a little pause for April and May then they'll resume on June 3rd."

Magley says the extension of the schedule is great news for everyone in Volusia County, giving them more options at their local airport instead of making the round trip to Orlando or Sanford. "We're proud of the fact that Daytona Beach International Airport is convenient, it's safe and we have all of these protocols in place for health and safety and we're also happy that now we're able to offer even more flight options for our community."

The most recent FDOT Statewide Aviation Economic Impact Study shows the Daytona Beach International Airport provides a total economic impact of over $2.1 billion to Volusia County while providing more than 2,382 local FTE jobs.
