The deadline for prospective Bull Creek Campground vendors to complete the ‘request for statement of qualifications (RSQ)’ has been extended to July 31st at 2:00 pm, according to a release by the Flagler County government this week. In the RSQ process, restaurateurs who believe they can be a good fit for the Bull Creek venue can make their case before the new building is ready.
The building that had been the site’s destination for lakeside food and refreshments was damaged severely by hurricanes Ian and Nicole in 2022, leading Flagler County to decide on tearing it down the following year.
“The selected concessionaire will be expected to provide a quality, unique food service that compliments the campground and Bull Creek Park atmosphere,” said General Services Director Mike Dickson. “We want to find the best fit for this opportunity, because it is as much to provide excellent service for the western Flagler County community as it is for visitors to the park. The county is interested in a long-term lease of three to five years with an option to renew for an additional five years.”
The original deadline to complete the RSQ process was July 8th, and the county’s spokesperson did not specify exactly why the deadline is being extended. Paperwork must be received at the Flagler County Procurement Division at the Government Services Building in Bunnell and time-stamped by a Financial Services Department employee before the deadline hits.
“Responses will be opened immediately and interested parties are invited to attend the opening,” said Procurement and Contract Services Manager Robert Rounds. “Responses received after the due date and time will not be considered.”
