Bunnell, FL - A 65-year-old Bunnell woman who'd said she thought she had the flu on March 20 was found dead in her home on Wednesday (March 25). A man who lived in a  motor home on the property contacted Flagler County Dispatch after finding the woman.

Because of the coronavirus, personal protective equipment was recommended. To limit possible exposure only one member of Flagler County Fire Rescue Engine 71, entered the residence.  He reported that he found the woman, deceased, without any apparent trauma.

The man who found the victim said that she was having trouble breathing but he believed that was due to her having COPD.

Because of the conditions of the death, the Medical Examiner was notified and an investigator arrived to take  swab samples for the coronavirus. The victim is not being identified at this time, pending next of kin notification.
