Daytona Beach, FL - Case number three testing positive for the coronavirus in Volusia County is a 70-year-old man. The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County reports the man is isolated and will remain that way until cleared by public health officials. This is a travel-related case and is associated with a Nile River Cruise/Tour in Egypt. There are now 42 reported cases of the virus in Florida.
The FDOH also says reports of a 63-year-old New York man testing positive for the coronavirus while visiting Bike Week are untrue. City of Daytona Beach Communications Manager Susan Cerbone says the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County reports he never arrived in Daytona Beach.
