Challenge Daytona In Town This Weekend

UPDATE: If you're headed to Daytona Beach International Airport tomorrow (December 5) morning, you will not be able to get to Midway Avenue from Williamson Boulevard until after 1 p.m. You can only access Midway Avenue from International Speedway Boulevard.

If you're headed to the Daytona Beach Flea Market, you will only be able to access it from Tomoka Farms Road.

Motorists coming to Daytona Beach from DeLand are encouraged to take alternate routes including I-4, S.R. 40, and S.R. 44, instead of U.S. 92.

Daytona Beach, FL - Triathlon athletes are arriving in town today for Challenge Daytona. The endurance sports festival is expected to draw more than 1,000 triathletes to Daytona International Speedway with the main event happening tomorrow. 

For those who need to drive around DIS tomorrow, be aware that Bellevue Avenue between Williamson Boulevard and Clyde Morris Boulevard and Midway Avenue from Catalina Drive to Williamson Boulevard will be shut down to accommodate the event from 6:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

There will also be a northbound lane closure on Williamson Boulevard between Beville Road and Dunn Avenue between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m.
