Daytona Beach, FL - A man convicted of sexual battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 16 is sentenced to life in prison.  Circuit Judge Matthew M. Foxman also sentenced 42-year-old Terry Saladeen to a concurrent 15 years for lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor. He  is also now a designated sex offender.

During an eight month period, investigators say Saladeen raped the girl numerous times. In February 2018, the child told a family member what was taking place who then contacted law enforcement.

State Attorney R.J. Larizza had the following to say about the case: “Our Victim’s life is forever
changed by the sexual assaults she endured at the hands of the defendant. The sentence does not undo the harm he inflicted upon our Victim, but it is because of her that he will never be able to sexually assault another child. That is a fact worthy of our respect and admiration.”
