Cold Weather Shelters Opening In Flagler

Shelters To Open Sunday & Monday Night

Flagler County, FL - Temperatures are expected to plummet by Sunday, so Flagler County is activating their emergency cold weather shelters for those in need.

The shelters at the Sheltering Tree and Church on the Rock will open for Sunday and Monday night (Jan. 16 & 17) for the homeless and anyone without heat at home. Sheltering Tree can be found at 205 N Pine St in Bunnell, and Church on the Rock can be located at 2200 N. State Street, also in Bunnell.

Church on the Rock will open at 5:30 p.m. each evening and will close at 8 a.m. the following day.

Those in need of transportation can also catch a ride on one of two routes provided by the county. The schedules can be found below.

  • Hidden Trails Community Center, 3 p.m.
  • Espanola Community Center, 3:30 p.m.
  • Bunnell Free Clinic, 4 p.m.
  • First United Methodist Church in Bunnell, 4:30 p.m.
  • Veterans Park Flagler Beach, 3 p.m.
  • Flagler County Social Services, 3:15 p.m.
  • A1A Tennis Center, 5633 N Oceanshore Blvd., 3:30 p.m.
  • Dollar Tree (by Carrabas), 4:10 p.m.
  • Palm Coast Main Branch Library, 4:30 p.m. (possibly 4:40 p.m., depending on traffic)
