Daytona Beach, FL - CVS announces that they will be adding 76 new vaccine sites around Florida, including locations in Volusia County.

The additional locations are in addition to the 81 stores that were previously announced in February, bringing the chain's total count up to 157 sites in the state.

“We’re proud to play a part in increasing access to the vaccine to as many people as possible to enable reopening efforts in the Florida communities we serve,” said Brian Bosnic, Division Vice President of CVS Pharmacy. “We’re also making significant progress in reaching more vulnerable communities, which will continue to be an essential part of our vaccination effort across the state.”

According to a press release from the office of Governor Ron DeSantis, the 71 locations will be spread throughout 24 different counties in the state, including Volusia. As of Tuesday (March 9th), CVS' website lists Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Edgewater, and Port Orange as available locations for a vaccine, but the company does not state where the exact locations are. Additionally, all cities except Edgewater are booked up, per the pharmacy's website.

Palm Coast is also listed, but appointments there are fully booked as well.

In Florida, seniors over the age of 65, law enforcement officers and firefighters over the age of 50, and all teachers and childcare workers in the state are eligible for the vaccine. CVS, along with Publix and Walmart, recently announced that they will vaccinate Florida teachers, regardless of age, at eligible locations.

Individuals wishing to receive a vaccine at a CVS Health location must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. People without online access can contact CVS Customer Service at (800) 746-7287. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
