Daytona Beach, FL - A 66-year-old Daytona Beach man is recovering from stab wounds in the hospital and so is his son, 36-year-old Bruce Orsborn. Volusia Sheriff's investigators say the younger man stabbed his father in the back during a struggle over the knife.
A witness told deputies that the son had made suicidal statements while brandishing the knife. The father tried to take the knife from him, which is when the stabbing occurred.
Deputies were able to secure Orsborn who had a self-inflicted knife wound to his throat. Both men were transported to Halifax Health Medical Center as trauma alerts. The father is expected to survive his injuries but there's no word on Orsborn's condition. He faces charges of domestic battery on a person over 65.
