Daytona Beach, FL - The City of Daytona Beach, in partnership with Family Source, is offering three COVID-19 vaccination clinics next week, using the Moderna vaccine, for people over the age of 18.

Mayor Derrick Henry, in response to the recent surge in coronavirus cases in the community, has doubled the incentive to get vaccinated. Residents will receive a $50 Walmart gift card when they get the first vaccination. When they go back for the second one, they'll receive another gift card.

“When COVID vaccines were first introduced, we saw a lot of people eager to protect their health, but now we are seeing people on the fence, and we want to incentivize those people to get vaccinated,” said Mayor Henry.

Dates and times of upcoming city-sponsored vaccination clinics where gift cards will be given:

Tuesday, August 10
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dickerson Community Center
308 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Wednesday, August 11
2 to 6 p.m.
Midtown Community Center
925 George W. Engram Blvd.

Thursday, August 12
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Schnebly Rec Center
1101 N. Atlantic Ave.

If you can't make it to one of the clinics, the vaccination is available at pharmacies and health care providers. You won't get a Walmart gift card but you can find vaccines close to you at vaccines.gov.
