Daytona Beach Midtown To See COVID-19 Testing This Week

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - New COVID-19 cases hit a record number over the weekend. A new test site opens up in Daytona Beach later this week.

The temporary testing site will be open on Wednesday and Thursday, June 24th and 25th. It will be located at 310 Jean Street near the corner of Nova Road and Orange Avenue and be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wednesday is drive-through testing and Thursday it’s walk-up testing. The free nasal swab test is for everyone regardless of age or symptoms. An appointment is not needed but residents are requested to make one so they won't have to wait in line.  You can make one by calling 386-274-0500.

Samples will be sent to a commercial laboratory for testing. Results will be released as soon as they are available, usually within seven days.

This testing site was created through a partnership between the City of Daytona Beach and the Florida Department of Health.
