Daytona Beach, FL - A report from the state's Chief Financial Officer, Jimmy Patronis, shows Florida is home to 18 of the nation's top 50 cities for fraud.
And out of those 18 cities, Daytona Beach ranks at number seven.
Not only does Florida rank first in fraud reports, but the state also ranks fourth nationwide in identity theft reports.
"I'm calling on all Floridians to report fraud today," said Patronis.
According to Patronis, fraud and identity theft rates in the state are an "out-of-control epidemic."
