DBCC Expected To Approve Ordinance For Zone 2 Special Election

Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Beach City Commission is expected to approve an ordinance recommended by the City Clerk to meet notice requirements that would begin with qualifying on August sixteenth, a Special Primary Municipal Election on September twenty-first, if necessary, and a Special General Municipal Election to be held on November 2.

The ordinance calls for a Qualifying period for Candidates, Election Procedure, Polling Places, and date of taking office. 

Also during this Wednesday's meeting, Commissioners, at Mayor Derrick Henry's request, will have a discussion on 2:00 a.m. bar closings and the Seabreeze Neighborhood.
