DeBary, FL - A DeBary teen indicted for murdering his mother in November 2018 is scheduled to take a plea tomorrow (December 9) before Judge Sandra Upchurch. Gregory Logan Ramos was 15 at the time of the murder. He's only 17 now but is being held at the Volusia County Jail.

Investigators say Ramos strangled 46-year-old Gail Leavenger to death in a fit of rage and then tried to conceal the crime by burying her body under a fire pit at a church nearby.

Ramos told the Volusia Sheriff's Office that he came home from school to find the home ransacked and his mother missing. He made a 9-1-1 call to report the crime, saying, in his own words, that it was a Grammy-winning phone call.

Two of his friends from University High School, 17-years-old at the time, Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras helped Ramos ransack the house to cover up the crime. Ceglarek has been in the Volusia County Jail since he turned 18, held on a $200,000 bond. He'scharged with Accessory After the Fact in a Capital Felony. Porras faces the same charge but has bonded out of jail.
