Deltona on Monday Shooting Injures Two Victims

The Volusia Sheriff's Office announced on Monday morning that their detectives were investigating a shooting that had left two victims injured. The incident took place early Monday morning in Deltona.

According to the initial report on the shooting from the VSO, the agency was notified of the incident at 3:05 am. Two people were injured in a shooting in their home on Houston Drive, just south of Monticello Street. When deputies arrived to the scene about three minutes later, they found the victims had left the home under their own power.

The injuries to the two victims are said to be non-life-threatening. So far as the investigation works through its first day, no suspects have been publicly identified by the VSO nor have any arrests been announced in relation to the shooting. The VSO said updates will be provided on the case as new information becomes available.
