Orlando, FL - A 21-year-old Orlando man is facing a multitude of charges including kidnapping after he held his ex-girlfriend captive for two weeks in a motel.

Authorities say the 27-year-old Deltona woman was taken by the suspect, Victor Gonzalez, on May 21st. She was soon reported missing and endangered by her family, who last spoke with her on May 28th.

Investigators also report that Gonzalez, who is already on probation in Orange County for another case involving the victim, threatened to shoot her and her family before she was imprisoned at an Orlando Motel 6 for around two weeks.

She was recovered Tuesday night (June 2nd) at a parking lot in Orlando after Gonzalez dropped her off. Investigators report that they contacted Gonzalez’s probation officer who tracked down his family members in an attempt to locate him. That's when Gonzalez got nervous and agreed to let the victim go.

The woman was picked up by her family who saw that she had bruises on her arms and head. Once the family returned home, they contacted the Volusia Sheriff's Office.

Authorities also note that the victim, who is insulin-dependent, was treated for her diabetic condition once she returned home because she did not have access to insulin.

Orlando police soon located Gonzalez and arrested him last night (June 4th) at the Motel 6 found off of American Way. He was arrested on warrants that were filed and processed by Volusia County.

During interviews with detectives, the victim said Gonzalez kidnapped her because she had begun a new relationship. She stated that he approached her in Deltona on May 21st and forced her into his car against her will.

The victim also reported that Gonzalez beat her multiple times and would not let her leave him during the two-week period.

Throughout the investigation, detectives learned more about Gonzalez's history of domestic violence with the victim. Their report says that the victim's family even moved to Deltona from Orlando just to escape Gonzalez.

Gonzalez remains in custody at the Orange County Jail on charges related to aggravated stalking, kidnapping and false imprisonment, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. Gonzalez could also face additional charges, according to VSO.
