Daytona Beach, FL - The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline today in Florida is $2.51. That's an 11 cent jump from Monday's price.

According to the Energy Information Administration report released Wednesday, the demand for gasoline grew by 190-thousand barrels per day across the U.S. This latest number is about 520-thousand barrels per day more than this time last year.

Gasoline stocks decreased for a fifth consecutive week, creating tight gasoline supplies. Prior to Monday of this week, prices were falling at the rate of a penny per day for a ten-day period.

The average price today is $2.43 in Volusia County and a bit higher in Falgerl County, at $2.47.
