Deputies Seek Public's Help In Identifying Armed Robbery Suspect

Daytona Beach, FL - Volusia County deputies are asking the public if they know who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on Derbyshire Road Sunday night (June 27).

The Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) says the suspect—who has been described as a "heavyset male" standing around 5’8” to 5’10” tall, weighing 250-275 pounds—entered the Get ‘N Go convenience store on Derbyshire Road as the cashier was closing the store around 11:00 p.m. that night.

According to the victim's narrative, the male, wearing a sunglasses and a face covering, entered the store and pointed a black pistol in their face while demanding money. The suspect took two blue money bags and exited the store before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The male suspect was dressed in a  black shirt, dark jacket and blue jeans at the time of the robbery. He also has tattoos on both hands and his neck.
