Daytona Beach, FL - The latest report from the Florida Department of Health (DOH) shows that about a third of the state has been vaccinated for COVID-19.

As of Easter Sunday (April 4th), 6,299,638 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine—including the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines—in Florida. Of those almost 6.3 million people, 2,638,758 have received their first dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, while 3,660,880 have completed their full vaccine series.

According to the DOH's report, 265,567 people out of the 3.66 million who finished their series received the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The DOH's demographic summary shows that seniors over the age of 65 remain the most vaccinated group in the state, with 3,387,632 individuals having been vaccinated.

Locally, 155,997 have been vaccinated in Volusia County, while 40,834 have been vaccinated in Flagler. In Volusia, 56,907 have received their first dose while 99,090 have completed their series. In Flagler, 15,568 people have received their first shot and 25,266 have finished their series.

As of Monday (April 5th), all adults 18 years of age or older are now eligible for a vaccine in the state. Additionally, individuals 16 and 17 years of age can receive a Pfizer vaccine with the consent of their parent or guardian.

Those wanting to make a vaccine appointment can pre-register through the state's vaccine website, or by calling their county's vaccine hotline. Individuals can also register for an appointment through one of the many pharmacies that have partnered with the state to administer vaccines. Those include, but are not limited to, Publix, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens.
