New Smyrna Beach, FL - A New Smyrna Beach firefighter is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and his colleagues are asking people to donate to his family.
A Facebook post from the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department says they are seeking donations for Jeremy Macklefresh, aka "Cubby," a driver and engineer with the department.
So far, over $6,000 have been raised by donors as Macklefresh continues to recover in the ICU. Some have even gone as far as to volunteer to bring Macklefresh's family food, which can be done through a Meal Train page set up in Macklefresh's name.
