Employee Injured In Burger King Stabbing

UPDATE: DBPD has released a suspect description: the suspect is described as a light-skinned black male wearing black pants and a black hoodie. He was last seen on foot running northbound from the restaurant before
turning east onto Brentwood Drive.

Daytona Beach, FL - Officers need the public's help in finding the suspect wanted in a stabbing incident.

According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, the incident was reported around 4:21 p.m. yesterday (December 8th) at a Burger King restaurant off of North Nova Road.

Once police were on the scene, officers were told that an employee at the store suffered lacerations to the face and fingers and that the suspect fled on foot. The victim was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center. The transport was non-emergency.

Police say that a motive isn't clear yet and more information has yet to be released.
