PALM COAST - The Flagler County Sheriff's Office made a risky traffic stop Friday when they arrested 38 year-old Jason Gray, who was wanted in Putnam County on charges of Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted In-State Felon.

After being arrested, Gray was taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Center on two new charges: misdemeanor Marijuana Possession (20g or Less), and felony Driving with License Suspended (Habitual Offender). His bond landed at $98,000.

FCSO deputies placed a spike strip in the road in front of Gray's  gray Cadillac. He was given no chance at that point to evade capture, and was arrested without incident. Gray was an armed fugitive from the law.

The arrest was made at Matanzas Woods Pkwy and Londonderry Drive in north Palm Coast late Friday night. Before this instance, Gray has served time for trafficking stolen property and shooting a missile at a building or vehicle. His warrant in Putnam County is for

Aggravated Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted In-State Felon. “Our deputies put themselves in harm’s way to take down this repeat felon,” said Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly. “He is an ex-con who had a firearm and shot into an occupied vehicle. Putnam County wants him and we were more than glad to take him down for them.”
