FDOH-Volusia Ready To Expand COVID-19 Testing If Needed

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - The Department of Health (FDOH) in Volusia County says they are closely monitoring testing numbers and are prepared to increase testing hours and days if needed. If you are symptomatic or have come into close contact with a positive case, the Department of Health will provide a COVID-19 test free of charge. If this is the case, please call 386-274-0500 and select “#” to schedule a time to come in and get tested.

As for testing in Volusia County, there is no centralized repository listing all active testing locations within the county. The majority of testing is conducted in pharmacies, clinics, and physician offices.

Check out the Volusia County website, volusia.org, for information on when COVID-19 vaccines are available at FDOH-Volusia. You'll also find a link to the Department of Health's vaccine locator map.

Homebound vaccinations are offered two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For questions and/or scheduling residents should call 386-274-0500 and select “#” for the COVID-19 call center.

FDOH-Volusia said they are available to offer vaccinations at public sites/public events upon request. Please reach out to Melanie Black (386-274-0576 or Melanie.Black@flhealth.gov) to schedule a vaccination event.
