FDOT: 5-Day Dunlawton Detour Planned

Port Orange, FL - Expect delays later this week in Port Orange as the Florida Department of Transportation plans to close both sides of Dunlawton Avenue at the train tracks beginning this Saturday (May 8).

According to an email from FDOT, officials plan to close Dunlawton at the railroad crossing between Spruce Creek Road and Ridgewood Avenue/US-1 for five days, from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. next Wednesday (May 12). This will be in place as FDOT provides project support to Florida East Coast Railway.

Eastbound traffic on Dunlawton will be directed to take Spruce Creek Road to Commonwealth Boulevard to Ridgewood/US-1 as a detour. Westbound traffic will be directed to take Ridgewood/US-1 to Commonwealth Boulevard to Spruce Creek Road as a detour.

This schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Drivers are also reminded to slow down and be alert while driving through construction areas.
