Ormond Beach, FL - State Troopers are reporting that an argument is what led to a fatal incident involving a pedestrian on I-95.

Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 43-year-old Fort Lauderdale man was traveling southbound on I-95 around noon on Thursday (July 16th) when he stopped in the center median near exit 273 for US 1 in Ormond Beach.

Investigators say the man pulled over after they had an argument with a passenger in their car.

After pulling over, the driver left the vehicle and ran across the northbound lanes of I-95. They made it across the first time, but they were struck by another vehicle headed north when they tried to run back to the median.

The man died at the scene. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
