First Responder Flags Will Fly In Ormond Beach

Ormond Beach, FL - First Responder flags will be hoisted Wednesday afternoon in Ormond Beach. The city is debuting new flags that will fly for First Responder Appreciation Day on Thursday, October 28, and throughout the weeks that follow. They'll be on flag poles across the city, in addition to the American flags that already fly.

“This dual flag gives us a chance to show our appreciation for the local law enforcement officers as well as our fire rescue squads all at the same time,” said Mayor Bill Partington. “Our first responders work hard all year long and we wanted a chance to honor them in a very public way where everyone can take a moment to appreciate all they do for our City.”

First Responders were honored in 2020 with yard signs that proclaimed “Thank You First
Responders!” The city of Ormond Beach is asking everyone that still has those signs to display them again on Thursday.
