Flagler Deputies Investigating Possible Road Rage Shooting

Palm Coast, FL - A man stops for help after someone he tried to pass shot into his vehicle on Belle Terre Parkway.

According to the victim's account, he was traveling northbound on Belle Terre behind a gold sedan around 10:50 Wednesday morning (November 11th) as they approached Palm Coast Parkway. He tried to pass the sedan, but the driver sped up and reportedly cut him off near Indian Trails Middle School.

As he tried to pass the vehicle again near the Palm Coast Seventh Day Adventist Church, the driver of the gold sedan pulled out a handgun, rolled down his window and shot the rear passenger door of the victim's vehicle. The victim eventually pulled off onto Matanzas Woods Parkway as the shooter continued onto Lakeview Boulevard.

After turning onto Matanzas Woods, the victim noticed a Flagler County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle and stopped to tell the deputy what happened. After giving a report, the victim added that he carries a concealed weapon inside his glove box and pulled it out when the suspect shot through his window, but did not point it at the shooter.

The deputy additionally noted in their report that they found what could be a bullet fragment in the floorboard of the driver's seat.

The suspect was described as an older black male, possibly over the age of 35, partially bald with glasses and a black shirt. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
