Fourth Quarter Starts With Strong Condo Sales

Daytona Beach, FL - As Daytona Beach nears the end of the year, new analysis shows condo sales and prices soaring throughout the month of October.

According to data analyzed by Wyse Home Team Realty, 203 units sold with a media price of about $255,000—which is almost near level with September's condo sales and 39 percent higher than sales from last year. Other reports from the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service (MLS) additionally show that sales price also was up in both monthly and annual comparisons.

Analysis of October's median condo sales prices was also found to be 12 percent higher than the month prior and 24 percent higher than last October. That also comes as inventory levels around the area dropped to about 762 available units, which continues the trend of what some realtors have called desperately low inventory levels. 

“There was a strong start to 4th quarter condo sales in the Daytona Beach area,” said Ron Wysocarski, Broker and CEO of Wyse Home Team Realty. “There continues to be high buyer demand and inventory levels are still remarkably low.”

Year-to-date comparisons also point to a rising trend in sales and the median condo sales prices for 2020. Condo sales throughout the first 10 months of 2020 were found to be 14 percent higher than the same period the year prior. The median sales price was up 12 percent in YTD comparisons.

Highlights from October additionally include the $1.1 million sale of a unit in Daytona Beach.
