DeLand, FL - Free holiday photos will be available at five Volusia County Public Library branches beginning Monday, December 6. Families and individuals will choose from a variety of seasonal backgrounds and be posed by library staff in front of a green screen.
There's no charge for the service but an email is required so you can receive your photos.
If you're getting your photo taken, you can dress festively in any color except for solid green as that will disappear into the background. No appointments are required at four of the five branches. Port Orange Regional Library is the exception.
The photos will be taken at these locations and times:
Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 Jackie Robinson Parkway: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9; 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13; and 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 21. For more information, call 386-257-6036. Reservations are not required.
