UPDATE 3:01 pm: The Daytona Beach Police Department has now advised that two individuals, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested in connection to the shooting. Both are said to be students at nearby Mainland High School.

The 16 year-old was charged with discharging a firearm in public, illegally carrying a concealed waeapon, possession of ammunition by a felon, violation of probation, and criminal mischief. The 15 year-old, meanwhile, was only charged with marijuana possession by a person under 21 years old (less than 20g).

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Dunkin' Donuts location on International Speedway Blvd in Daytona Beach was the site of a shooting Monday morning, according to a statement from the Daytona Beach Police Department. The incident occurred just before 8:30 am.

Not much is currently known about what happened and why, but the DBPD has stated that no one was injured in the shooting. Upon arrival, the store manager provided police with a description of the suspects. Officers were then able to locate them near the store, and locate the firearm believed to be used in the shooting.

Because the store is just next to Mainland High School, the campus was placed on lockdown in the immediate aftermath. Daytona State College is also just across the street, and NewsDaytonaBeach.com is still waiting on word from campus security about any measures that may have been taken.

As of Monday morning the Dunkin' lobby where the shooting occurred is closed. An employee was spotted sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot over two hours after the incident. Police are still investigating, and any updates on the identity and/or motive of the shooter are still to come.
