Halifax Health Offering COVID-19 Vaccinations

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL -  Halifax Health is offering Covid-19 vaccinations this week at the Fountain Building on Clyde Morris Boulevard. On Monday, April 26, and Wednesday, April 28, it will be the Pfizer vaccine. On Tuesday, April 27, and Thursday, April 29, the Moderna vaccine is available. Appointments are available from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. each day.

Visit vaccine.halifaxhealth.org to see available appointments. If you do not have internet access you may call 386-425-VACC (8222). You will leave your name and number and a Halifax Health Team Member will call you to schedule your vaccination date and time within two business days.

Those eligible for the vaccine are:

·        Anyone 18 years or older for Moderna, anyone 16 years or older for Pfizer-BioNtech.  If person is under 18 he/she must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive a vaccine.

No walk-ins will be accepted.

The intent of the scheduling application is to match recipients with the vaccine supply available on a given day. The selected appointment time is not a guarantee that you will be vaccinated at that specific time. A successful registration does ensure you will receive a vaccine on that day excluding circumstances outside of our control.

If you sign up for a scheduled time, it is essential that you are available 21 or 28 days later (depending on the vaccine type) at the same time for the second vaccination. It is also essential that you keep your vaccination appointments for proper stewardship of the vaccine.
