Daytona Beach, FL - The Halifax Humane Society (HHS) is asking for donations to help the more than 30 animals rescued from a Port Orange mobile home fire.

HHS said that all of the animals have health issues, requiring medications, veterinary procedures, special foods, and special attention. According to HHS, the cost of antibiotics for all of the animals "is more than you would ever imagine. Eye meds are also very expensive, and nearly every animal requires these meds as well."

The dog shown in the picture with this story cannot use its hind legs and will need a wheelchair device to get around.

HHS has an Emergency Medical Fund (EMF) to purchase items that the public cannot donate, such as antibiotics and vaccines. You can donate directly to the EMF at halifaxhumanesociety.org. Notate at the end of the form that your donation is specifically for the EMF.
