UPDATE - The State Attorney's Office reports that Bascom was sentenced today to life in prison times three to be served concurrently.

Daytona Beach, FL - A jury only took an hour today to find Benjamin Bascom guilty on all charges, First-Degree Murder, and two charges of Tampering with a Witness. He's charged in the death of Carlos Cruz-Echevarria, a veteran who he shot in the head, execution-style, in Deltona, on Veterans Day, 2017.

Jury Trial For Hitman Accused Of Killing Veteran Slated To Begin

The sentencing guidelines call for a mandatory life sentence. The State Attorney's Office did not ask for the death penalty in this case.  No date has been set for sentencing.
