It's Primary Election Day & COVID-19 Protocols Are In Place

Posted

DeLand, FL - Today is Primary Election day in Florida and polls are open until 7 p.m. Some polling places changed this year so make sure to check your voter’s registration card before heading to your polling place.

Twenty-four Volusia County Schools buildings are being used as polling places for this year's elections. Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis says the buildings will allow for social distancing to be followed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A number of other precautions have been taken, including each voter receiving an individually wrapped pen to mark their ballot and plexiglass shields at each voter check-in station.
