Local Coronavirus Cases: Volusia-6, Flagler-0

Daytona Beach, FL - The Florida Department of Health is reporting another positive case of the coronavirus in Volusia County, bringing the total to six. Nearby Lake County is reporting it's first case  but the count in Flagler County is still zero. 

 Nineteen new positive coronavirus cases are being reported today in Florida, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 155.  Officials say there are 137 Florida residents diagnosed with the virus and another 18 out-of-state residents diagnosed in Florida.  There are six Florida residents who have been diagnosed in other states and there have been four deaths. 

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood is posting update numbers each day on his personal Facebook page.  As of today, he shows that 27 people are bing monitored in the county, including two in Daytona Beach, four in Ormond Beach, four in Port Orange, two in New Smyrna Beach, one in Holly Hill, seven in DeLand, four in Deltona, two in DeBary and one in Orange City.
