DeLand, FL - West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority (WVTAA) Executive Director Georgia Turner will serve on the board of VISIT FLORIDA beginning on Wednesday, July 1.

While there, she took part in the creation of Biketoberfest in 1993 and helped bring the 2017 Shriners International convention to the Ocean Center. Turner took over as Executive Director of WVTAA in 2016.

“Tourism is the top industry in Florida, with hundreds of millions of people visiting each year, and it’s our job to make sure those tourists have an amazing time and keep coming back,” said Turner. “Sustainable tourism is what we strive for in West Volusia County and I am deeply honored to get to be a part of making that happen for our amazing state as well.”
