Man Caught With "Mother Of Satan" Bomb Materials Sentenced

Daytona Beach, FL - A 38-year-old Lake Helen man is sentenced to 15 years of probation for producing so-called “mother of satan” bomb chemicals. 

Jared Coburn pled no contest on several charges in court last week. Besides probation, he’s also subject to warrantless searches going forward. Here is a list of all of the conditions of his probation:

  1. Withhold adjudication
  2. Count 1-15 years probation, Counts 2 & 3-5 years probation concurrent
  3. Not to possess any weapons or firearms
  4. Mental health evaluation and treatment
  5. Substance abuse evaluation and treatment
  6. No drugs and alcohol
  7. Random urinalysis
  8. Agrees to random searches of residence, vehicle and person
  9. No possession of a list of explosives or explosive chemicals
  10. No making/possession/throwing destructive device
  11. No participating in, creating, or setting off any pyrotechnic or fireworks displays
  12. Court costs/costs of prosecution/pd fees/cost of investigation

Testimony revealed that Coburn believed his ex-girlfriend turned him in. The day before police showed up at his home, Coburn had threatened to nail the woman to the ground, burn down the house and kill her family, sheriff’s investigators testified.
