Deltona, FL - According to the Volusia Sheriff's Office, deputies spent Sunday (April 25) investigating after a man was found shot to death near a wooded lot in Deltona.
The preliminary report from deputies say the victim was discovered in the 2200 block of Matthew Circle just before 6:30 Sunday morning. Details are scarce at this time, but investigators have identified the deceased as 23-year-old Marvin Keith Evans III of Sanford.
This is the second shooting death deputies have investigated within the last few days. Late Friday night (April 24), a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in the Spring Hill area of DeLand. Detectives are also in the midst of investigating a homicide in which a 28-year-old woman was found dead in Osteen.
