Deltona, FL - Deputies arrest a Deltona man accused of recording and uploading videos of him sexual battering a 9-year-old girl online.
32-year-old John Taylor Jr. was arrested by the Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) on Friday (October 30th), charged with sexual battery on a child, lewd or lascivious molestation, and two counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child.
Investigators say they were acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that said Taylor uploaded six videos containing suspected child pornography using a Kik Messenger account. Detectives then began their investigation into Taylor in early October.
According to a release from the Sheriff's Office, Taylor said the videos were sent to him before admitting to sexually battering the victim and recording videos of the abuse.
Taylor is also not a stranger to the 9-year-old victim, but the nature of his relationship to her is being withheld to protect her identity. No additional potential victims have been identified.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
