Daytona Beach Shores, FL - The man Daytona Beach Shores police say battered a woman pregnant with his child and kicked her dog on October 20, is now charged in the case. 33-year-old Jeremy Riley was arrested last Friday (Oct 25).
The victim in this case told police that Riley beat up on her then tried to take her cell phone when she tried to call 9-1-1. She said he would not allow her to leave the residence. Riley finally left the home with the victim's cell phone in his possession.
The police report shows that Riley's 6-year-old daughter was on the scene when the altercation took place. The child gave police information that matched the victim's account of the incident.
Riley faces four felony charges: Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Person, False Imprisonment, Tampering with a Witness, and Grand Theft and a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty. He's currently out on a bond of $26,500.
