Daytona Beach, FL - The South Beach Street Improvements Project is scheduled to get underway later this month. The project has it's supporters but there's also been some criticism. A neighborhood meeting is scheduled for this evening.

Tonight's neighborhood meeting will provide interested parties with the details of the work to be done and give people the chance to comment or ask questions.
According to city documents, sidewalks in front of the businesses will remain open during construction with work to replace pavers to be tackled after business hours
Work in the three-block stretch will be divided into six sections, and each section will be completed before another stretch of the street undergoes construction.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in City Hall. Construction is scheduled to be completed in July 2021.
