NSB To Honor San Francisco 49ers Raheem Mostert On Super Bowl Sunday

New Smyrna Beach, FL - The city of New Smyrna Beach is honoring one of it's own on Super Bowl Sunday. New Smyrna Beach High School's graduate Raheem Mostert is a running back for the San Francisco 49ers. The city's Mayor, Russ Owen, has proclaimed Sunday, February 2, 2020 to be Raheem Mostert Day in the City of New Smyrna Beach.

During his high school career, Mostert recorded 81 tackles on defense, had 389 receptions for 723 yards and scored four touchdowns during his senior year. He was awarded the MVP during the Central Florida All-Star Game before heading off to Purdue University.

Mostert played for three different teams, Cleveland, Miami, and Baltimore during his first season in 2015.  In 2016, he started the year with Chicago and finally made it to San Franciso, where he's been ever since. 

During the 2019 season, Mostert had 137 carries for a total of 772 yards and eight touchdowns.

The 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Miami for the Super Bowl next Sunday, February 2.
