NSB To Provide Meals On Wheels For COVID-19 Quarantined And At-Risk Residents

New Smyrna Beach, FL - As many as 50 COVID-19 quarantined individuals and others that need to maintain social distancing due to medical vulnerabilities living in New Smyrna Beach will be provided Meals on Wheels. The meals are available due to a collaboration between the city of New Smyrna Beach, the Department of Health-Volusia, and with Food with Care's home delivery service. 

Eligible recipients will receive frozen, microwaveable meals twice a month for six months, yielding one meal per day. 

You'll need to contact Community Resources Coordinator Irma Terry at iterry@cityofnsb.com or (386) 314-4849 in advance to determine eligibility, make an appointment, and indicate preferences to accommodate food allergies.

Registration for the meals will take place on two Thursdays this month, January 14th and the 21st, at the NSB Housing Authority Community Resource Center at 600 Greenlawn St.
